After the 4th of March...
April 2010
Mother House Community

|
During the bicentennial year of M St Jean something new was posted monthly on the web. According to many reports received we know that the web site had frequent visits and was greatly appreciated. We too can attest to the richness of the Institute wide contributions. It was yet another manifestation of “One body for mission”. We would like to thank each one of you for the time and effort that went into the presentations. Our gratitude goes especially to: the novitiate and in particular to Isabel Grangeon, the General Council, the Provinces, Regions, the Extended Family, the Mother House team which was often taken by surprise by the arrival of texts in urgent need of being translated into the four languages of the Institute…

We thank those of you who submitted logos at the beginning of the bicentennial year. You have seen many of them in our correspondence; on the web pages etc. You can look forward to seeing more of them in future publications from the Mother House.

The program here in Béziers at the beginning of March was appreciated by all: RSHM from throughout the Institute, our volunteers, our friends, relatives, Extended Family, people of Béziers and the surrounding villages, who rediscovered, or even discovered for the first time, who we are as seen from the testimonies presented from each of the countries where we are ministering.

A lot of energy went into the planning and the carrying out of the celebrations but it was all worth while in view of the outcome. In order to learn more about it don’t forget to visit the web“ Maison Mère” where we plan to give more details on the conferences, the presentations in the cathedral, the liturgy on March 4, the meal(imagine 200 dinner guests squeezed into the grande salle) the interchanges and the experience of being one big family.

As Mother House, in spite of the surprise of having to assume urgent translations, we are very happy - with the development of the Site and the ready response throughout the year. To coordinate such a project was demanding but well worth while. |
We have deliberately avoided
the use of the word
”closing” of the bicentennial year of M St Jean
because we would prefer to think of it
as a springboard for the future.
Some questions remain regarding the “Appollonie” link. Should it close?
Is there a group in a Province/Region who would like to keep it going;
to use it as a means of communication
with other groups, Provinces/Regions?
It remains an open question. Don’t hesitate to take up the offer!
You won’t regret it! |
