July 4 - Seventh Day - Marie Chin, RSM
We began with prayer in the Chapter Room.
Catherine Dolan welcomed Sr. Marie Chin, RSM. Sr. Marie served a six year term as the president of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and is currently the regional superior in Jamaica, British West Indies.
Marie gave us a wonderful and challenging day of reflection.
In her morning and afternoon presentations,
she spoke of the implications of our connectedness with the whole of
life in all its forms. She pointed out how we are being challenged to
deepen our awareness of this, to see our RSHM spirituality in a new
way, and to come to a new understanding of our RSHM life today.

The afternoon ended with Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. Eduardo Tsimba, CICM. Fr. Tsimba is the General Superior of the Missionhurst Fathers, the first non-Belgian elected to that position.
After supper we went to the recreation room for a party to celebrate the USA Independence Day.
