SHM Novitiate
February 24: Rosa Armanda's Reflection
Text and symbols for the
Celebration of the Reception to the SHM Novitiate
Belo Horizonte 24th February 2009
Excerpt from Sacred Scripture
(Mark 16: 15-16)

"Jesus said to them:
Go out to the whole world,
proclaim the Gospel
to every creature.
Whoever believes
and is baptised
will be saved..." |
Planet Earth
The most beautiful place in the Milky Way where God chose ‘to pitch his tent with us’.
The Globe represents the five Continents.
In this diversity God invites us to work for God's Reign where no frontiers exist.
“Go out to the whole world...”
the call is also a challenge which God makes
to give oneself,
to make a way,
to cross bridges
to bring the Good News of Christ
to hearts which are at the other side of the Ocean
awaiting a sign of hope. |

|
Grains of soil – seeds
I present these grains of soil
where a seed hides itself...
To be sown, to be nurtured, to be helped to grow, waiting patiently until the fruits appear - it is an ongoing work for all of my life. |

In the times
of losing the meaning of hope,
the ‘go’ and ‘announce’ the Good News
‘so that all may have life’
is an urgent mission
to which God calls me
and calls also each one of the sisters
of the Institute of the Sacred Heart of Mary
in a living out of the charism
of our beloved Fr. Jean Gailhac.
Feeling the call of God
in universal Love,
I will seek
to know God more,
to better love God
and announcing God
so as to be known and loved
that all will have more LIFE!
Amen!
