Experience of Internationality: Beziers
“Living our Adventure (Advent) with the One who is always New”
We want to share with all of you our experience in the Motherhouse. In the first place, we want to say that before going to Béziers we were fearful about meeting our sisters from other cultures, other languages. Nevertheless, when we met it was an experience of welcome. We were all of one heart, and we realized that there are no boundaries between us.
Then, we, Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, coming from Zambezi, Mexico and Mozambique, lived a most enriching experience in Béziers, and we would like to share it with all of our international Institute.
We are consecrated women, disciples of Jesus Christ, driven by the Holy Spirit, sent to announce the Good News, and we want to be capable of generating new relationships based on love wherever we find ourselves.
In this world of so much suffering, which has a thirst for community, for prayer, for compassion, for solidarity, for justice and hope, we are called to live this burning fire of our founders for mission: we have decided to keep ourselves updated on news that comes about our world through the JPIC network, our UN-NGO, and through sharing our reality with others. We have also decided to maintain communication with one another to help us to understand the reality of each county and to support one another with our prayer.
We believe that only by the quality of our lives will we be able to attract others to collaborate in the work of God confided to our Institute: That All May Have Life and Have it to the Full.
And just as it was very important for us to have contact with our Sources, we hope that future generations will also be able to live this same experience.
